The 2025 Word Tai Chi Day celebration took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on April 26, 2025, featuring the participation of Hon. Sunil Kumara Gamage, Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs; HE Qi Zhenhong, the Chinese ambassador to Sri Lanka; Hon. (Dr.) Madhura Senevirathna, Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education; and Prof. Indrananda Abeysekara, the president of the Association for Sri Lanka China Social and Cultural Cooperation.
Additionally, Chinese martial arts enthusiasts and practitioners from both Sri Lanka and abroad were present.
